Both billing and building are done as a 4 step process, with each step being called “Milestones”.

I require a sign-off and payment at each step/milestone.

Milestone #1: The Mini round

‘Mini’ round: After the deposit is paid (40% of the project), I’ll produce the homepage of the site that puts forth the design of core elements of the website. This includes the main menu, footer, color scheme, fonts, etc. It will only consist of the homepage and none of the other pages. This is to ensure that we are aligned on the look and feel of how the entire site will be. You then have a chance to give any comments or changes before moving on to the next phase.

Once this round is approved, the next milestone bill will be sent (30% of the project), and we will move on to the Full round.

Milestone #2: The Full round

‘Full’ round: Next comes the Full round, which includes all of the pages and all of the content. Similar to the Mini round, you’ll have a chance to make changes, ideas, new photos, etc. before moving onto the next and final round.

Once this round is approved, the next milestone bill will be sent (20% of the project), and we will move on to the Final round.

Milestone #3: The Final round

‘Final’ round: I’ll take the nuanced feedback from the Full round, and produce the polished product. I then run the Final product through a Quality Assurance procedure, where I test and pass things like SEO, images, links, etc. After it passes the QA, this will again be surfaced for feedback.

Once this round is approved, we will move onto the Launch. No billing for this round

Milestone #4: The Launch

‘Launch’! I’ll run an intense QA to make sure every link, image, and word is correct. I’ll make sure all of the techie stuff is configured correctly and it’s all playing nicely together on the web. If the site is built on a temporary domain, I will migrate the temp site to it’s final and correct URL.

Once the site is live, the final bill will be sent (10% of the project).

Post-launch, we can talk about website maintenance. I offer the gamete of plans; from simple maintenance plans to keep your site running smoothly, to high-end, white glove retainer agreements.

I always encourage questions if you have them! I’m here to guide you every step of the way, so please don’t hesitate if something is unclear.
